AlphaTrainers believe that providing our students with an adequate supply of sporting equipment is essential for the best training results. Therefore we plan to launch a platform which provides a one-stop solution for all sporting supplies that our students will need.
Some basic pieces of equipment are listed below:

  1. Shin Guards
  2. Jerseys
  3. Soccer socks/ boots

Shin Guards
Shin guards are worn in front of the shins and protect against leg injuries. The guards should cover the length of your leg, from ankle to knee minus one or two inches.
Shin guards can be made of different materials:
i. Fiberglass – Stiff, sturdy and light-weighed
ii. Foam Rubber – Extremely light but not as sturdy and solid as fibreglass
iii. Polyurethane – Heavy and sturdy and offers almost total protection from most impacts
For soccer, goal keepers and forwards need the lightest shin guards because of their need for quick movements; midfielders use a more heavy duty pair of shin guards due to the more frequent occurrence of tackles. The defensive players should have as heavy and as protective shin guards as they can wear comfortably.

Jerseys
A Jersery is a piece of clothing covering the torso. Sporting jerseys are made of synthetic materials which improve the ventilation of our body and keep us cool and dry during intense exercise. Different materials cater for the various levels of training intensity and the ambient temperature/humidity.

Soccer socks/boots
Depending on the type of surface and the wearer’s position or role in the game, different cuts of boots and stud arrangements are available. For hard fields, a pair of sneakers or plastic-stud (moulded-soles) boots will do. On a well-grassed field, screw studs are needed for more grip; these can be metal, rubber or plastic.
Our students are recommended to wear socks catered for footballers. These socks use thicker garments and can help pretend the wearers from twisting their ankles.
